(D)Infinity

(D)Infinity is a Sci-Fi animation exhibiting chaos and beauty in outer space. Using only graphite and paper the film renders the artist’s own interpretations of dimensional infinity. The universe consists from harmony and balance of the four fundamental forces of nature : Strong force, weak force, gravity, electro-magnetism. If the one of the forces is not in perfect figure relative to other three forces, the universe will collapse. The film (D)Infinity is a visual theory of the phenomenon when mankind’s technological advancement impact the nature of the four fundamental forces, which then lead to the destruction and new beginning of the universe.

Regeneration

Regeneration is a film about transformation. Starting in a dark place the character reaches toward the divine and breaks into the world of the spirit. Through this act representing an outstretched hand we see that the Holy Spirit represented as a dove is pursuing us even more urgently. The meeting of the two represents the freedom in flight found in trusting fully in the Holy Spirit and is completed with the return to the heart now fully regenerated.

The Dog’s Drama

The dog's drama tells the story of a dog on the run through the Belgian countryside, attached to an endless leash.

In Ictu Oculi

The six-decade transformation of a block of houses, shown by means of artfully featured archival shots, highlights the beauty and sadness of human-made decay. In the blink of an eye 66 years pass by and a savings bank replaces a church.

SIDESTAGE

The story of SIDESTAGE is one of Theatre. That moment before you step onstage, when suddenly every worry floods your mind, and the thick stage makeup suddenly feels too heavy, and you know you look ridiculous. You can't remember your queues, your blocking, you don't even know if anyone is in the audience to see you. But then your queue comes up, and it all fades away, and the show goes on.

A family pod of three dolphins navigates decay as an inevitable register while also having a secret ascension to a higher ground.

Song of the Flies

The experimental animated film Song of the Flies (El Canto de las Moscas), translates the desolation caused by the violence of the Colombian armed conflict through the poetic voice of Maria Mercedes Carranza (1945–2003) and the audiovisual dialogue between 9 Colombian women. In 24 places, as a transit over the course of a day (Morning, Day, Night) a map of terror is drawn where massacres took place in Colombia in the 1990s. Archival images, the artists’ personal memories and the use of loops and analogue materials bring to life the landscapes ravaged by violence and build a polyphony of memory and mourning, a universal song of pain.

Short animation about biology, cyborgs, chickens, symbiosis and suffering.

Ambient Chaconne

A time-lapse animated meditation on geothermal energy, erosion, seismic activity and magma. Shot above the Yellowstone Caldera and amongst the Bryce Canyon hoodoos, the film explores how they connect these past cataclysms to the present endangered environment within the sixth mass extinction and future threats to an ecosystem already in collapse. The musical accompaniment, composed and performed by Pauline Kim Harris, is based on a reimagining of the Chaconne from the Partita No.2 in D minor (BWV 1004) by Johann Sebastian Bach.

ESCAPISM

A beautiful place, the same old place. Shapes of blues and greens flow with grace, a feast of rêverie for the eye. Wind, water, sun, light, the world dances with the mind. Peace and melancholy sing as everything flows and goes. Choking on comfort, locked in this world, one can simply waltz with their thoughts. In this ballad of wonders, there's only one way in and no way out. Fragmenting reality, the hues twirl along with the music. This could go on forever. This is the mind's favorite game. No resisting. Now diving into escapism.
