America Down: The Proof of Concept

America Down: The Proof of Concept introduces Jamie Davenport, a resilient 19-year-old navigating the brutal realities of a post-apocalyptic United States. Set in the gritty aftermath of a global pandemic that has decimated the population, this short film explores themes of loss, survival, purpose, and the struggle to overcome a painful past. Created as a fundraising tool, the proof of concept supports the development of the feature-length adaptation of America Down, based on the web series of the same name. Designed to demonstrate the production team's capabilities on a limited budget, the short emphasizes the tone, visual style, and narrative scope of the larger project - offering a powerful glimpse into a devastated America through the eyes of its young protagonist.

Downfall

In April of 1945, Germany stands at the brink of defeat with the Russian Army closing in from the east and the Allied Expeditionary Force attacking from the west. In Berlin, capital of the Third Reich, Adolf Hitler proclaims that Germany will still achieve victory and orders his generals and advisers to fight to the last man. When the end finally does come, and Hitler lies dead by his own hand, what is left of his military must find a way to end the killing that is the Battle of Berlin, and lay down their arms in surrender.
