The Adventures of Kitty Cobb

Adventures of Kitty Cobb was adapted from a series of newspaper cartoons drawn by James Montgomery Flagg (of "Uncle Sam Wants YOU!" fame) for the New York World. Kitty Cobb is a Long Island lass who heads to New York City in hopes of landing a handsome inventor for her husband.

Bertha the Sewing Machine Girl

Bertha Sloan loses her job as a sewing-machine girl and subsequently is employed as telephone girl with a lingerie manufacturing company. She soon falls in love with the assistant shipping clerk, Roy Davis, and is promoted to chief model for the firm, owing to the patronage of Morton, the wealthy and wicked manager. Bertha is about to take a position in Paris as designer when Morton lures her to his home.

The Flames of Chance

During World War I, Jeanette Gontreau becomes a "godmother" to three Allied soldiers imprisoned in a German camp. Panic-stricken, Jeanette dons a wig and spectacles, and although she convinces Harry that she is old and gray, she soon falls in love with him. Harry worships his "godmother," and when secret service agents discover coded messages on her letters, he shields her by assuming the blame.
