Enthusiasm. Symphony of Donbas

An audiovisual symphony that delves into the industrial, agrarian, and cultural fabric of the Donbas region during the inaugural Soviet Five Year Plan. It spotlights anti-religious campaigns, propagandistic marches, and the vibrant athletic culture of its time

The Pepper

An adventure detective film by Orest Bachmaha, a person with multiple characteristics. He is a creator in many senses. A film amateur, an artist, a photographer, a poet, and a master trying to create on his own the things he uses. He was born and lives in Vynnyky. Most of his life, he has worked as a photographer and a decorator for exhibitions in Lviv Art Gallery. At some point in time, Orest Bachmaha got enthusiastic about filmmaking and developed an 8mm camera. However, he failed to complete it as the cinefilm changed the format to Super8. Also, he built several modifications for film projects, with all the details and the incorporated audio block.

Poetic and romantic amateur footage of a young couple in a garden, as well as their travels — several spliced films with different plots were stored on one reel. The film includes the author's audio commentary.

Colors of Summer

A careful observation of changes in the life cycles of flora and fauna that occur in the garden near his house in Vynnyky. The structure of the film is based on the change of seasons. Accordingly, filming and work lasted all year round. Originally silent, in 2020, Regina Zheleznyakova (Regina Collage) and Pavlo Olefirenko (Pilikayu) wrote music for it.

Pick Up

A series of 26 short stories, each featuring a protagonist intent on meeting someone at a Kyiv nightclub. These stories depict a real-life scenario of club encounters, where the goal is to “pick up” - achieve sexual satisfaction swiftly for the thrill of it - all captured by a hidden camera.

Dragon Island

There is an island where dragons still roam. A Jurassic type underworld where ancient warlords still rule. Where they fight for supremacy...where they fight to survive. Komodo Island - deep in the remote basin of the Pacific Ocean - its an ancient Kingdom of fire and brimstone. Here, a string of 452 volcanoes erupt from the ocean bed, its known as "The Ring of Fire" and it's the perfect habitat for dragons. Komodo Dragons! The largest living lizard on the planet with 34 million years of survival in his DNA. Its no surprise that he's still known as a dragon, he has the presence of an ancient gladiator. He's armored in claws and scales, but instead of spitting fire, he spits deadly venom.

Secret Music

A documentary film about Pulitzer prize-winning composer David Del Tredici and the historical and cultural significance of his music within and outside the gay community. The film investigates the sometimes ineffable processes that are fundamental to music composition, performance, and the communication of meaning through art. Highlighting the nuanced challenges of private sexual identity projected outward into art, the film examines Del Tredici’s personal transformations through the joys and sorrows of gay life, and his goal of communicating sexuality through music that is influential in modern culture. Through performances of Del Tredici's atonal and neo-Romantic music and interviews with world-renowned musicians and scholars, the film explores what sexuality in music represents creatively and what the implications of identifying an art form as gay, as Del Tredici has done, may be.

The film, titled Setting the Bar: A Craft Chocolate Origin Story, will tell the story of chocolate from bean in the Amazon to bar in high-end cafes and stores. The film will follow a group of craft-chocolate makers as they venture into the Peruvian jungle to strengthen direct relationships with farmer communities and identify new kinds of cacao to bring to market. It will explore the economic realities of farmers and artisans, and capture the passion and sense of adventure of this inspiring group of people.

Linemen work behind the scenes protecting our way of life, rebuilding after natural disasters and putting their lives on the line everyday. Almost half of America's 400,000 linemen are scheduled for retirement in the next five to ten years. Without an influx of new linemen entering the trade, who's going to to keep the power on?

Alvar Aalto: Technology and Nature

The Finnish architect Alvar Aalto (1898–1976) is one of the great figures of modern architecture, ranked alongside Gropius, Le Corbusier and Mies van der Rohe. This film analyses Aalto’s uniquely successful resolution of the demands and possibilities created by new technology and construction materials with the need to make his buildings sympathetic both to their users and to their natural surroundings. His inventive use of timber in particular represents both a reference to the forest landscape of Finland and a building material that is ‘warm’ and extremely adaptable. Filmed in Finland, Italy, Germany and the USA, this documentary shows how the Finnish natural environment and art traditions were essential elements in Aalto’s pioneering harmonization of technology and nature.

Lost in the Bewilderness

Lost in the Bewilderness is a feature-length documentary about the filmmaker’s cousin Lucas, kidnapped at age five from his native Greece, and found on the eve of his 16th birthday in the US. This story of international parental abduction, filmed for over twenty years, chronicles Lucas’s journey of growth and self-discovery, and culminates with Lucas becoming a father himself. Lost in the Bewilderness is not only a detective story but also a lyrical meditation on childhood, lost and found, and an exploration of how the themes of ancient Greek myth and tragedy, with the family at their center, are still very much alive in the modern world.
