The Kinks: At the BBC 1964-1994

This incredible archive represents a great set of previously unreleased recordings in the Kinks catalog. The collection has been brought together by trawling the BBC archives, but also by inviting contributions from fans. Included also is a DVD of the bands sought after appearances on Top of the Pops and the Old Grey Whistle Test a well as concerts from throughout the band's career. This is a first for the band as these recordings have never been available in one place before. The Kinks At The BBC is a triumphant collection of the defining moments of a truly seminal British band, as witnessed, broadcast and archived by the voice of the nation, the BBC.

Eagles: The Broadcast Collection

Featuring almost 2 hours of Eagles live performances recorded during 1973 and 1974, in the first stage of the band's career. Kicking off with a lengthy set the group played at Holland's Popgala Festival on March 10th 1973, a one-off gig the Eagles gave in Europe that spring. The following year they performed in front of the cameras for Don Kirshner's Rock Concert programme, recorded in LA on 19/07/74, a show for which they were joined by old friends Linda Ronstadt and Jackson Browne for a few numbers. Because this is a band of probably the best musicians you will ever hear. So what you get here is simply an amazing collection of excellent music from concerts all over the world as well as some videos from the time. Here you have the cheesy Knocking At Your Back Door and Bad Attitude to smokin live footage of Black Night (84) and Space truckin (85). While the dvd is mainly split evenly between the Blackmore years and Morse years, both are equally outstanding.
